The Department of Registration of the State Government of Tamil Nadu is all set to introduce a new facility to prevent any private agencies from registering lands owned by the State Government at the beginning itself.
Citizens buying lands MUST first upload the resume of the sales deed to be registered. On this, as regards properties owned by private agencies, ONLY THE SURVEY NUMBER MUST BE GIVEN!
However, there is a common illegal procedure adopted to INCLUDE THE SURVEY NUMBERS OF GOVERNMENT-OWNED LANDS AS WEL TO REGISTER!
AS SUCH, AN ILLEGAL REGISTRATION IS MADE TO OWN GOVERNMENT LANDS NOT FOR SALE!
A NEW FACILITY HAS NOT BEEN INTRODUCED TO PREVENT THIS!
As above, the Head of the Department of Registration Sivan Arul has released AN ORDER on this issue. The details:
A REVISED SOFTWARE HAS BEEN CREATED AND UPLOADED ON THE COMPUTERISED SYSTEM THAT IN CASE THE SURVEY NUMBERS OF GOVERNMENT-OWNED LANDS WITHOUT GUIDANCE ESTIMATE AND LANDS WHICH ARE BARRED FROM SALES ARE ENTERED ON THE RECORDS, IT WILL BE DETECTED EARLY AND REJECTED!
Even as the resume of the registered sale deed is entered in the system, IN CASE THE BARRED SURVEY NUMBERS ARE ENTERED THE REGISTRATION WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REJECTED!
The registrars, district and Deputy Inspector Generals, within the jurisdiction of their areas, HAVE TO CHECK AND CONFIRM WHETHER THIS FACILITY IS AVAILABLE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICES!
ESPECIALLY, THE SURVEY NUMBERS WITH ESTIMATE GUIDANCE price as `ZERO` must be included in this and arrangements MUST be made to ensure the automatic removal/rejection of these numbers, if entered!
This facility will be implemented first in the Panchayats Lands. Note that a separate order will be announced for the urban localities.
IT MUST BE CONFIRMED WITHIN 15 DAYS BY ALL OFFICES THAT THIS FACILITY HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED!"
