If things go as per the plans of the registration department, then the sub-registrar offices for property registrations would become digital. It is now brought to light that the registration department is in talks with digital service providers to make the process online. Truth is that everything would become digital until the official seal procedure.
Consultancy, guidance and procedures including tokens booking and uploading digitised documents would be carried out only after getting appointment online. It is mentioned that the services for preparing documents for sale deeds would be done by paying an amount as fee. To prepare the draft documents, the executors would be offered with the models of sale deeds. The services of legal experts and document writers could be utilized by the executors. The sub-registers would be verifying the documents.
Important piece of information is that on the day of registration of properties only buyer, seller and witnesses would be allowed to be a part of sale deed execution. According to some official sources it was confirmed that this new digital system of property registration could eliminate touts in the sub-registrar offices, corruption and impersonation etc.
Point to be noted is that the introduction of services such as those in the passport seva kendras would prevent touts from entering the registration service centres. It is a well known fact that touts have been creating many issues in the property registration offices and could not be eradicated completely. It was pointed out by a senior officer that talks have been going on with TCS for this purpose.
