Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Moderate Rain Expected in Chennai, Coimbatore and 24 Other Districts Today

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has predicted moderate rainfall in several parts of Tamil Nadu before 7 PM today. According to the latest weather forecast, isolated places in 26 districts are likely to experience light to moderate showers during the evening hours.

The districts covered under the rain forecast include Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Dharmapuri, Salem, Dindigul, Erode, Karur, Madurai, Namakkal, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Tenkasi, Theni, Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar, Coimbatore, Sivaganga, The Nilgiris, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, and Kanyakumari.

The weather department stated that moderate rainfall is likely at one or two places in these districts due to prevailing atmospheric conditions. Residents are advised to carry umbrellas and plan their travel accordingly, as sudden showers may affect evening traffic in some areas.

The expected rainfall is also likely to bring temporary relief from the hot and humid weather conditions prevailing across many parts of the state.
