Suburban train services in Chennai will face a partial disruption on the Central–Gudur section on Friday night due to a scheduled line and power block at Sullurupeta yard.
The block will be in effect from 10:00 PM on April 24 to 1:30 AM on April 25, impacting select EMU train services during this period.
As a result, the EMU train departing from Moore Market Complex at 8:25 PM towards Sullurupeta will be partially cancelled. The train will not operate between Tada and Sullurupeta and will instead terminate at Tada.
Passengers travelling towards Sullurupeta during the affected time are advised to make alternate travel arrangements from Tada. Commuters are also encouraged to check the latest updates and plan their journeys in advance to avoid inconvenience.
Railway authorities have stated that this temporary disruption is part of essential maintenance work aimed at improving infrastructure and ensuring safer operations.
Services are expected to return to normal once the block period ends.
