University of Madras Opens Admissions for Distance Education Programmes 2026-27 from June 29

The Institute of Distance Education (IDE), University of Madras, has announced that admissions for its UGC-recognised distance education programmes for the 2026-2027 academic year will commence on June 29.

Applications have been invited for a wide range of Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), Diploma, Certificate, MBA, and MCA programmes. Students can apply through the Single Window Admission Centre at the University of Madras, Chepauk campus.

The admission centre will remain open every day, including Saturdays (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and Sundays (10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.), except on public holidays.

Candidates can also submit their applications online through the IDE admission portal. In addition, admission services will be available at 74 Learner Support Centres located across Tamil Nadu, making the application process more accessible to students statewide.
