The newly constructed bus terminal in Tiruttani has now become fully operational, with all government and private buses being shifted to the new facility. This development has brought significant relief to passengers and motorists who had long faced congestion issues in the town.

The old bus stand, Arignar Anna Bus Stand, which had been functioning for over 30 years near the municipal office, has now been officially closed. Due to increasing population and vehicle traffic, the area had become highly congested, causing inconvenience to daily commuters.

To address this issue, a new modern bus terminal named Kalaignar Centenary Bus Stand was constructed on Arakkonam Road at a cost of ₹21.97 crore by the municipal administration. The facility was inaugurated last month via video conferencing by M. K. Stalin.

Although minor finishing works such as installation of lighting delayed operations initially, the final phase of work has now been completed. As a result, the new bus stand has been brought into full use, and all bus services have been shifted.

Modern Facilities for Passengers

The new bus stand is equipped with several passenger-friendly amenities, including:

- Spacious seating arrangements
- Clean drinking water facilities
- Toilets and sanitation facilities
- Passenger rest rooms

Transport officials have confirmed that buses from the new terminal operate to various destinations, ensuring smooth connectivity for travelers.

Improved Traffic and Commuter Experience

With the closure of the old bus stand and the shift to the new facility, traffic congestion in Tiruttani town is expected to reduce significantly. Passengers are now enjoying a more comfortable and organized travel experience.
