10,663 Buses to Operate for Tamil Nadu Elections; Special Services Announced
In view of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, authorities have announced the operation of 10,663 buses to facilitate voters traveling to their hometowns.
According to the state transport department, special arrangements have been made for April 21, 22, and 23 to ensure smooth travel for passengers heading out to cast their votes.
A total of 10,663 buses will be operated during this period, including 5,574 special buses in addition to the regular 2,092 daily services from Chennai.
The initiative aims to manage the expected surge in passenger demand ahead of polling day and ensure that voters can reach their native places without difficulty.
Officials stated that adequate measures have been taken to handle the increased crowd, and passengers are advised to plan their travel in advance.
This large-scale transport arrangement highlights the government’s efforts to encourage voter participation and ensure hassle-free travel during the election period across Tamil Nadu.
