Chennai Central Trains to Karnataka Delayed in June - July; Southern Railway Issues Update

Passengers traveling from Chennai Central Railway Station to Karnataka destinations should be prepared for delays, as Southern Railway has announced revised departure timings for several express trains during June and July.

According to the official update, multiple long-distance trains operating via Katpadi and Jolarpettai routes will depart later than their scheduled timings due to operational adjustments.

The Chennai Central–Ashokapuram Kaveri Express (Train No. 16021) will be delayed by up to 2 hours on select dates in June. On June 19, the train is expected to depart approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes late.

Similarly, the Chennai Central–Bengaluru City Superfast Express (Train No. 12657) will also be delayed by around 1 hour on June 19, affecting passengers traveling between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Further, additional delays have been announced for the Kaveri Express on specific dates:

June 22: Delay of around 1 hour 22 minutes
June 24: Delay of around 1 hour 30 minutes
July 7: Delay of up to 2 hours

These delays are part of planned railway operations and maintenance adjustments, impacting train schedules temporarily.

Passengers are advised to check updated timings before departure and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
