TN SSLC Public Exam 2026 Begins March 11 - Over 9 Lakh Students to Appear
The Class 10 (SSLC) Public Examination 2026 in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will begin on March 11 and conclude on April 4. More than 9.09 lakh students are expected to appear for the examination this year.
Students from 12,467 schools across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will participate in the SSLC public exams. To conduct the exams smoothly, the education department has set up 4,219 examination centres.
A total of 4,954 flying squads and monitoring teams have been deployed to ensure strict supervision and prevent malpractice during the exams. Additionally, 49,542 education officials have been appointed as exam hall invigilators.
For students with disabilities and dyslexia, the government has arranged 12,292 scribes to assist them in writing the exams. Separate arrangements have also been made for eligible prison inmates, with 395 scribes appointed to support them during the examination.
