JioHotstar Hosts Grand South Unbound Event Celebrating Southern Cinema & Storytelling
In a glittering celebration of South Indian storytelling and digital entertainment, JioHotstar hosted the ‘South Unbound’ event at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. The evening brought together some of the biggest icons of South Indian cinema and leading voices in the OTT space to spotlight the vibrant creative potential of the region.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin and Minister for Information & Publicity Mr. Swaminathan participated in and inaugurated the event, marking the importance of regional content in the digital age.
The event featured Sushant Sreeram, Chief Marketing Officer & Head - SVOD, JioStar, and Krishnan Kutty, Cluster Head - South, JioStar, who emphasized JioHotstar`s commitment to empowering local creators and audiences.
The night was star-studded with the presence of legendary industry figures including Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, and Nivin Pauly, among others. They shared insights on the evolving landscape of South Indian digital storytelling.
