Azra Garg Appointed as Intelligence IG in Tamil Nadu
The Tamil Nadu Government has appointed Azra Garg as the new Inspector General (IG) of the State Intelligence Department.
The appointment comes amid a series of major administrative and police department reshuffles following the formation of the new government in Tamil Nadu. Several senior IPS officers and police officials have recently been transferred and assigned to new positions across the state.
According to official sources, Intelligence IG Avinash Kumar, who was earlier appointed during the election period, has now been transferred. In his place, Azra Garg, who previously served as the North Zone IG, has been appointed as the new Intelligence IG.
The Tamil Nadu Government has issued an official notification confirming the appointment and transfer order.
