Light Rain Likely in South Tamil Nadu; Chennai to See Cloudy Skies
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai has forecast light rainfall in a few places across South Tamil Nadu on Wednesday (March 11) due to a lower-level atmospheric circulation over the Southwest Bay of Bengal.
According to the weather department, very light rain may continue in some coastal districts of South Tamil Nadu from Thursday (March 12) to Sunday (March 15). Districts including Nilgiris and Coimbatore may also experience light showers in isolated places.
Meanwhile, dry weather conditions are expected in most other parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. In Chennai and its suburbs, the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy on Wednesday, but no significant rainfall is expected.
The weather department also stated that maximum temperatures across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are expected to remain near normal on Wednesday. However, from Thursday to Saturday, temperatures may rise by about 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in a few places.
