Districts Likely to Receive Heavy Rain
According to the IMD weather bulletin, heavy rain may occur at isolated places in the following districts:
- Chengalpattu
- Tiruvannamalai
- Salem
- Namakkal
- Kallakurichi
- Villupuram
- Cuddalore
- Thanjavur
- Ramanathapuram
Puducherry is also likely to receive heavy rainfall.

January 26:
Light to moderate rain is likely at a few places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
January 27 to January 30:
Dry weather is expected to prevail over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.

Similar wind conditions are expected over the south Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar, and Comorin Sea.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea during this period.
