Madras High Court Declares Summer Vacation Till May 31; Vacation Benches to Hear Urgent Cases
The Madras High Court has announced its summer vacation from today until May 31, granting a one-month break for regular court proceedings.
However, to ensure that urgent matters are addressed without delay, vacation benches have been constituted during this period.
According to the official announcement, vacation bench sittings will be held every week on Wednesdays and Thursdays at both Chennai and Madurai benches of the High Court. These benches will take up urgent cases and matters requiring immediate attention.
The arrangement ensures that while the court observes its annual summer recess, litigants can still seek legal remedies in urgent situations.
Lawyers and litigants have been advised to approach the vacation benches for emergency hearings during the holiday period.
