Chennai’s Tamil Nadu Police Museum to Host Free Food Festival on June 26

The Tamil Nadu Police Museum in Egmore, Chennai, will organize a special food festival on June 26, offering visitors a unique blend of heritage, culture and cuisine. The event will take place from 5 PM to 10 PM and is open to the public free of cost.

Located in the historic former Chennai Police Commissioner’s office building, the museum has emerged as a popular tourist and educational destination since its inauguration in September 2021. The museum features rare exhibits including police uniforms, medals, weapons, vehicles, police dog units and displays showcasing the evolution of policing in Tamil Nadu.

As part of efforts to attract more visitors and promote the museum, authorities have planned the food festival featuring a variety of traditional Tamil Nadu dishes and popular regional delicacies. The event is expected to draw food enthusiasts, families, students and tourists from across Chennai.
