Chennai Power Cut Today: 9 AM to 3 PM Shutdown Announced in Several Areas

The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in parts of Kanchipuram district on June 20, 2026, to facilitate maintenance and infrastructure improvement works.

According to the official notification, power supply will remain suspended from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in several areas under the affected distribution network.

The areas likely to experience power interruption include Vaiyavoor, Ashok Nagar, Enathur, Kattavakkam, Anna Nagar, Konerikuppam, Nallur, Ozhaiyur, Mottur, Harikrishnapuram, Chettiyar Pettai, and Kalianur.

Residents, businesses, and commercial establishments in these localities are advised to plan their activities accordingly and take necessary precautions during the scheduled outage. Power supply is expected to be restored once maintenance work is completed.
