Chennai Metro to Operate on Sunday Schedule for May Day 2026

Chennai Metro Rail Limited has announced that metro train services in Chennai will follow a Sunday schedule on May 1, 2026 (Friday), in view of International Workers` Day.
Service Timings & Frequency
5:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Every 10 minutes
12:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Every 7 minutes
8:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Every 10 minutes
The revised schedule is expected to manage holiday travel demand efficiently while ensuring smooth operations across all metro routes.
