There’s some relief for businesses across Tamil Nadu as Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has increased the supply of commercial LPG. The quota has now been raised to 70% of the original levels, and the change has come into effect immediately.

According to IOCL Chairman A. S. Sahney, this decision was taken after reviewing the current fuel situation in the state. He reassured people that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or aviation fuel, and that supplies remain steady with refineries running almost at full capacity.

He also made it clear that domestic LPG continues to be the top priority. At present, oil companies are able to meet the entire daily demand in Tamil Nadu, which is around five lakh cylinders.

This increase in commercial LPG supply is expected to help hotels, restaurants, and other businesses that rely heavily on gas, while households can continue to expect uninterrupted supply.
