Tamil Nadu would join 3 other states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh soon!!
In the future, a medical devices park would be set up at Oragadam in the Kancheepuram district. This was revealed by the chief minister of Tamil Nadu Mr M.K. Stalin.
It must be noted that a statement has been released in this regard and that the CM has referred to the proposal sent by the TN government to the pharmaceutical department of the Union government seeking funds to develop infrastructure for the medical devices park.
The superb piece of news is that the Centre has accepted the proposal of TN and has given approval for setting up of 4 medical devices parks in India. Various states that would have medical devices park would be Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Kancheepuram in TN.
It is learnt that the Centre would provide Rs 100 crores for the purpose of developing infrastructure in the medical devices park. The medical device spark would be coming up on 350acre land at Oragadam near Chennai and Rs 450 crores would be spent on this. These medical devices parks would have prototyping, calibration facilities etc in them and it would be superb.
