Special Trains Announced from Podanur to Chennai on May 25 & 26 After Polling
To facilitate the return of passengers after polling, special trains have been announced between Podanur and Chennai on May 25 and 26. These services are aimed at helping voters who traveled from Chennai to cities like Madurai and Coimbatore to cast their votes and are now returning home.
According to railway authorities, a special train will depart from Podanur at 7:40 AM and reach Chennai by 5:00 PM, passing through key stations including Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Morappur, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, and Arakkonam.
Additionally, return services from Chennai will also be operated. A train will leave Chennai at 6:35 PM and arrive in Podanur at 4:00 AM the next day, ensuring convenient overnight travel for passengers.
These special train services are expected to ease post-election travel demand and provide a comfortable journey for passengers across major routes in Tamil Nadu.
