Pickyourtrail, India’s leading personalised travel platform, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tourism Malaysia, marking a strategic step towards strengthening Malaysia’s position as a preferred international destination for Indian travellers.

The partnership brings together Tourism Malaysia’s destination expertise and Pickyourtrail’s strengths in personalised travel design to jointly develop campaigns and curated offerings that move beyond standardised packages, aligning with the evolving expectations of Indian travellers seeking more meaningful and flexible international experiences.

As part of the collaboration, both organisations will focus on making travel to Malaysia more accessible through innovative formats and offerings. A key highlight is the introduction of no-cost EMI travel packages, developed in association with leading banking partners. This “travel now, pay later” model enables travellers to book curated Malaysia holidays with flexible payment options ranging from 3 to 9 months, reducing upfront cost barriers while maintaining flexibility and choice.

In addition, the partnership will introduce exclusive airline offers in collaboration with key carrier partners, further strengthening the overall value proposition for Indian travellers.

Sharing his perspective on the collaboration, Hari Ganapathy, Co-founder and CEO, Pickyourtrail, said, “Indian travellers today are not just looking for more destinations they’re looking for more control over how they plan and pay for travel. Partnerships like this allow us to bring together destination expertise and flexible financing to make international travel more accessible without compromising on experience. Malaysia is uniquely positioned for this shift, given the diversity it offers across beaches, culture, nature, and cities. Our focus is to make that diversity easier to access and more relevant to how Indians travel today.”

A spokesperson from Tourism Malaysia added, “India continues to be one of Malaysia’s most important source markets, and this partnership with Pickyourtrail reflects our commitment to strengthening that connection. By working together on curated offerings and flexible travel options, we aim to make Malaysia an even more compelling and accessible destination for Indian travellers.”

With outbound travel from India continuing to grow, the partnership is well-timed to tap into increasing demand for international holidays that are both personalised and financially flexible. The MoU also sets the foundation for long-term collaboration between the two organisations, focused on building sustained travel demand and deeper engagement between Indian travellers and Malaysia as a destination.

India continues to be a high-growth outbound market for Malaysia, with travel demand witnessing strong momentum in recent years. According to internal data from Pickyourtrail, bookings to Malaysia from Indian travellers have grown by [100+% YoY d due to a dedicated team with destination focus], driven by its proximity, visa ease, and the diversity of experiences it offers. This partnership is aimed at accelerating that momentum further by making travel both more accessible and more personalised.
