Special MEMU Train from Chennai Egmore railway station to Tirunelveli Announced by Southern Railway
To ease passenger rush, Southern Railway has announced a special unreserved MEMU service between Chennai Egmore railway station and Tirunelveli.
MEMU Special Train Timings
Departure from Chennai Egmore: 11:50 PM on April 25
Arrival at Tirunelveli: 10:45 AM on April 26
Return Journey:
Departure from Tirunelveli: 1:20 PM on April 26
Arrival at Tambaram: 11:45 PM
Major Stops En Route
The special MEMU train will operate via key stations including:
- Tambaram
- Chengalpattu
- Villupuram
- Tiruchirappalli
- Madurai
- Kovilpatti
Train Delays on Chennai–Arakkonam Route
In a separate update, train services on the Chennai–Arakkonam section will be affected due to non-interlocking works at Arakkonam yard.
The Asokapuram–Dr MGR Chennai Central Express will be delayed by around 25 minutes from April 26 to May 16
The Dhanbad–Alappuzha Express will face a delay of about 90 minutes at Tiruvallur
