The health minister of TN Mr. M. Suibramanian confirmed that there are more than 25000 beds vacant now in various hospitals across TN as the daily cases have decreased now. Yesterday, he was busy inaugurating a Covid care centre at Ayappakkam. There are 155 beds including 35 oxygen beds at this Ayappakkam Covid care centre. It is now said that those who do not have facilities for home isolation would be shifted here.
The desperation for oxygen beds that was there till last month has gone now and there are more than 25000 beds available in various hospitals in TN. Truth is that the number of recoveries or discharges have also surpassed the number of daily cases. Ninety six lakhs doses of Covid vaccines were received by TN and till now 90.5lakhs have been vaccinated in TN.
On Tuesday, TN received 495570 more doses from the Centre and it was distributed to 37 districts belonging to TN.
