Good news for the polytechnic students in Tamil Nadu- An opportunity to score high marks in the examination!!
A comprehensive question bank has been released by the Directorate of Technical Education or DOTE under the Higher Education Department or HED for the polytechnic students for this academic year.
It was later mentioned by a senior official from HED that currently DOTW has uploaded textbooks on its web portal and new assessment methods are being developed that would focus more on skill development. On the DOYE portal, the new question bank has been published.
Details about the question bank:
It is worth noting that in the first phase a question bank was prepared for 5 core subjects namely civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering and computer science and engineering. A request has been made to all the principals of the polytechnic colleges, students, parents, stakeholders etc to send their feedback or remarks about the question bank on or before the end of October.
For preparing the final question bank, after the feedback is received, genuine suggestions would be taken into consideration. Later on, the final question bank would be uploaded for references. The senior official from HED later spoke about how the students must go through the question bank not only during the examinations but regularly and this would help them to score high marks in the respective subjects.
Who prepared the question bank?
Information gathered is that the question bank was prepared by an expert committee involving DOTE officials and academicians etc. It is now mentioned that in the second phase a question bank for other subjects would be prepared.
