As per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India, eligible passengers can travel free of cost on ordinary fare buses operated across Chennai on polling day.

Who Can Avail Free Travel?

- Senior citizens aged 60 years and above
- Differently abled persons
- Visually impaired individuals

Required Documents:

- Senior citizens must present valid age proof along with their Voter ID card

- Differently abled passengers must show their UDID (Unique Disability ID) card and Voter ID

- Passengers will be issued free travel tickets directly by the bus conductor, and no prior token is required.

Important Note:

This free travel is available only on the polling day (April 23) and is applicable exclusively on ordinary fare buses.

This initiative aims to encourage higher voter turnout and ensure accessible transportation for all eligible citizens during the elections.
