TN CM's Health Insurance Scheme

Tamil Nadu State insurance scheme are covering the treatments and procedures as well as, heart and lung transplants, cochlear implant,bone marrow transport, radiation therapy, surgical oncology. For the primary time in India, it's the first scheme to cover the cover bariatric surgery for the morbidly obese. And for critical illness, if the surgery or treatment procedure exceeds the insured limit, the govt have came upon a corpus fund to get the complete treatment. It is the first attempt of TN state government towards providing a health insurance that covers migrant employees and orphans. The scheme wasn't benefiting this class for a long time because there was lack of documentation, address and residence proof. With some amendments and modification in State insurance theme, the TN govt. hopes to achieve for those employees and their children who don't have any or less documents. People with annual income of less than Rs. 72,000 are eligible for the scheme.
