A low-pressure zone has formed and persisted over the interior South Karnataka and Kanyakumari region. Due to this, there are prospects of rain with thunder in 1 or 2 places in the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The southwest monsoon season has moved away to the northern states. Because the incessant rains in the southern states have reduced. Mild heat is prevailing in the state of Tamil Nadu over the last 2 days.
