Elliot's Beach is in Beasant Nagar locally called as Beasant Nagar Beach.

The beach has many fast food joints and other entertainments. There is a stone memorial (The Schmidt Memorial) of a Dutch sailor Karl Schmidt who lost his life while saving a drowning swimmer. It is a recognisable landmark at this place. Elliot's Beach is popular place for many Indian movie shoots. There are many shrines like the Ashtalakshmi Temple and Velankani Church on this beach. The Velankani Church is smaller than the original shrine at Nagapattinam. But the church attracts a lot of pilgrims. The Ashtalakshmi Temple is a new one dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. Ashta means eight, and the eight forms of Lakshmi are worshipped in this temple.
