Flood relief fund to be transferred today
The relief fund will be transferred to over 14 lakh families today and the amount is likely to reach their respective bank accounts tomorrow. Remaining families will receive the amount on 11th of this month, said Chief Minister, J. Jayalalitha.

Excise duty on petrol and diesel hiked by Central Government for the third time
The Central Government has hiked the excise duty on petrol and diesel, three times in quick succession. Because of this hike the government will gain an additional Rs 10,000 crore in the financial year.
