TRAI insists on compliance with call drop regulation
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India widely known as TRAI has insisted all the telecom operators to comply with call drop regulations with effect from 1st January even when they show defiance and say they can make compensation only when it is ordered by the court.

Slots denied to airlines as Chennai Airport reaches saturation point
Infrastructural problems have delayed the Airports Authority of Indias (AAI) plans to expand the Chennai Airport. When airlines applied for schedules this year, officials were forced to deny airlines no less than 10 slots for flights, which were divided into 5 for landing and 5 for take off.

Officials face difficulties in completing second runway
The second runway of the Chennai Airport is not fully functional despite spending up to Rs. 2,200 crore on a modernization drive. Work on installing lights and an instrument landing system (ILS) has not been completed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
