Chennai, Kanchipuram & Tiruvallur districts to get heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours

The low-pressure area over west-central Bay of Bengal has become less marked now, and its associated upper cyclonic circulation extends six km above sea level. This is expected to bring moderate to heavy rainfall over Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur and Vellore districts.
When enquired to Mr. Ramanan regards this, he said that there was heavy rain due to the low depression in the Bay near Andhra border regions. “Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur and Vellore districts may receive heavy showers in the next 24 hours”, he added.
