Government plans to fast-track power generation

As a step to increase the power generation, the government is planning increase the capacity of 95 hydro power projects. With this, it will be possible to obtain 40,000 MW power. This project is yet to be approved by various authorities such as Central electricity authority,Central water commission & Ministry of environment and forest.
The next step of the project is to approach the eGoM – Empowered Group of Ministers for check the infrastructure issues.
