Wind power generation increased to 641 MW

Wind power total production capacity is 7,300 MW; after May 15, 2,100 MW was generated on a daily basis; however, this was reduced gradually. In August 30th 19MW, 31st 16MW, and September 1st only 1 MW was generated. In this situation there was little improvement in the wind power and recently 953MW was generated, later it was reduced to 641 MW.
The hydro electric production was enhanced and 1,144 MW electricity was generated so the total power generated was 9,489 MK. Due to the heat many people are using air conditioner and fridge continuously so there was power cut in some of the areas of chennai.
