Public interest writ filed to ensure safety of school kids

Recently in Madras high court a public interest writ has been filed to take strict safety measures for the vehicles that carry school children. Further this writ emphasis that strict action should be taken against the overloaded autos and maxi cabs since they just carry many kids beyond their capacity leading to various accidents.
After the death of school child falling from a school van, the Tamilnadu government has given guidelines to all Tamilnadu motor vehicles. The guidelines were framed last year; however, it has not been followed by the private autos and cabs.
