Traffic Diversions in Effect on EVR Salai Due to Culvert Construction

The Highway Department is conducting culvert construction work at the Gandhi Irwin Bridge junction (north side) of EVR Salai. In order to facilitate the construction, modifications have been made to the existing traffic pattern.
The following diversions will be in effect from Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10:00 PM to Monday, June 5, 2023, at 5:00
Duration of Traffic Modifications:
The traffic modifications will be implemented starting from Saturday at 10:00 pm and will remain in effect until Monday at 5:00 am.
Changes in Traffic Flow:
No Restriction on EVR Salai:
Vehicles can freely ply on EVR Salai from Central and EVK Sampath Road junction towards Egmore via Gandhi Irwin Bridge.
Diversion for Vehicles from LG Roundana:
Vehicles coming from LG Roundana towards Gandhi Irwin Bridge Road will not be allowed to proceed to EVR Salai. Instead, they will only be allowed to take a left turn at the signal (Gandhi Irwin Bridge) towards Egmore Railway Station and Whannels Road.
Diversion Route for Vehicles:
Those vehicles diverted at Gandhi Irwin Bridge (Top) Junction will proceed towards Gandhi Irwin Road, Udipi Point, and take a right turn towards Dr. Nair Bridge and EVR Salai to reach their destination.
