Pilgrimage to Amarnath to commence on 23rd June!

The traditional and holy pilgrimage to have a Darshan of Lord Siva in the form of �Snow Linga� at Amarnath, Jammu and Kashmir, is set to commence on 23rd June.
This sacred lingam is formed out of snow in the cave Amarnath located in Himalayas Jammu and Kashmir. As a tradition over long ages, lakhs of devotees visit Amarnath to have a Darshan of Lord Siva in the form of a �snow lingam�!
In this situation, the pilgrimage to Amarnath this year 2020 is scheduled to commence on 23rd June, as per the announcement released by the Jammu Raj Bhavan Office.
In a meeting conducted in this regard presided by the Jammu-Kashmir Governor Girish Chandra Murmu, the above sate of the commencement of pilgrimage to Amarnath was announced.
The pilgrimage is of 42 days� duration and will conclude on 3rd August.
