GCC Urges Traders to Renew Licences Before March 31

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has advised traders to renew their business licences before March 31. Renewals can be done online at chennaicorporation.gov.in, through e-service centres, zonal offices, or license inspectors.

As per Rule 289 (1) of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Government Rules 2023, all businesses within Chennai Corporation limits must obtain a licence from the commissioner. The renewed licences will be valid for one to three years, as per Rule 300A of Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies.
