OnePlus 16 Launched with 9,000mAh Battery and 200MP Camera: Price and Specifications

The new OnePlus smartphone supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 16 in the Chinese market as the successor to the OnePlus 15, which was introduced in 2025. The new smartphone retains a square-shaped rear camera module, similar to its predecessor, while bringing upgrades to its processor, battery and display.

The OnePlus 16 is scheduled to go on sale in China later this month. It will be available in three colour options and four RAM and storage configurations.

The OnePlus 16 is powered by Qualcomm`s latest octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite series chipset, reportedly built using a 2nm manufacturing process. The smartphone runs ColorOS 17, based on Android 17, and supports a refresh rate of up to 185Hz.

It features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1272 x 2772 pixels. The device also comes with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

For photography, the OnePlus 16 features a triple rear camera system powered by Oppo`s Lumo imaging technology. The setup includes a 200MP primary camera with dual-axis optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera.

The telephoto camera supports up to 3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone features a 50MP front camera.
