Pongal discounts for Chennai citizens: 50% fare in Metro Rail on 15th, 16th, and 17th!
It has been announced by CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Limited) that a 50% reduction in fare will be applicable on 15th, 16th, and 17th January.

Public toilets for ladies to come up in 220 locations in Chennai Metro City!
In another 3 months, modernization of public toilets would take place in as many as 220 locations in Chennai city. Funds from CSR would be utilized for the purpose of modernization of the public toilets in Chennai city.

Organ donations/ transplants have increased now, in few government hospitals
In the last few months in 2019, the organ donations have picked up speed in government hospitals in Chennai. The government hospitals had a total of 22 donors and 77 organs by the end of 2019, in 2018, 27 donors and 74 organs.
