Southern railway: During the Pongal Holidays reservation counter to function just as on Sundays!

Chennai district: 62,000 applications for voters list inclusion/correction!
The draft voters list for the Chennai district, consisting of 16 Legislative Assembly Constituencies was released recently. There are 19,15,718 men, 19,71,966 women, and 989 other voters for a total of 38,88,673 voters.

Over 1 lakh sewer connections in Chennai, MWD has plans now
MWD wants to reduce pollution in the waterways plus to improve sewer network. It is now said that MWD is having plans to provide over one lakh new sewer connections in Chennai city and in added areas in another 6 months.

In Chennai, pollution levels to be more than double the normal levels on Bogi day
The pollution level on the Bogi day especially PM 2.5 is likely to be more than double the normal levels. The smoke from fires on this day could lead to sickness in the people, delay flights and increase the road accidents etc.
