Power Shutdown Areas in Chennai on August 23,2013
Power supply will be suspended in the following areas on August 23,2013 between 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. for maintenance work.Supply will be resumed before 5.00 P.M. if the works are completed.

Gold coin and wrist watch in exchange of plastic waste from 1st September
The Chennai Corporation had earlier announced that if a resident collects plastic wastes and gives it to the Civic body, they will get a gold coin or a wrist watch. This scheme comes into effect from 1st September.
