Special suburban trains have been made permanent and will run permanently
As stated in press release no.87/2014-15 dated 08.08.2014, some suburban train services were extended / introduced as special trains for a period of o�ne month with effect from 11.08.2014.

Railways� Revenue Earnings up by 12.53 Percent During April 2014 - August 2014
The total approximate earnings of Indian Railways on originating basis during 1st April 2014 to 31st August 2014 were Rs. 61324.64 crore compared to Rs. 54496.73 crore during the same period last year, registering an increase of 12.53 per cent.

Eco friendly DEMU from ICF
