Retiring rooms in the railway stations will soon be modernized like 3 star hotels by IRCTC.Presently the retiring rooms in the railway stations are not maintained properly. The passengers also do not bother about this retiring room.

Aadhar card mandatory for booking train tickets
The Indian Railways has mandated Aadhar card for booking train tickets throughout the country. Users will now have to link their Aadhar cards to the IRCTC.Travellers who do not hold a valid Aadhar card till date will now have to compulsorily.

Changes in the pattern of train services between Chennai Central and Basin Bridge
Lying of new lines between Chennai Moore Market Complex and Basin Bridge has been completed. Chennai Divisional Railway Manager has mentioned that all the train services will be operated as usual from 27th.

Catering service introduced in 23 trains, including Bangalore - Chennai Shatabdi Express
IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) is currently providing catering services in 65 Express Trains, 6 Rajdhani Trains, 13 Duronto Trains, 6 Shatabdi Express Trains, and 2 Suvidha Express Trains for a total of 92 trains.
