India to launch 160 km/h semi high speed train

Railways will be soon introducing Gatimaan Express between Delhi-Howrah and Delhi-Mumbai routes by increasing speed of trains to up to 160 km per hour. Railways have decided to increase the speed of trains by 160 kms between Delhi-Howrah and Delhi-Mumbai routes for the convenience of passengers.
The estimate cost for this is Rs.10000 Crores. Once these two major routes are upgraded to 160 km per hour speed, there will be scope for launching more passenger trains. Other routes are Howrah-Chennai, Delhi-Chennai and Chennai-Mumbai.
