Trial run on Metro stretch between Airport and Little Mount to start soon
The second trial run of the Metro Rail will take place shortly. The run, which is set to take place by the end of next month or early October, will be from the Officers Training Academy station to Little Mount Metro Rail station.

Onion prices on the high
Onion prices are soaring in the country. As on the beginning of the week, the wholesale market price at Koyambedu for onions from Maharashtra was Rs. 60 per kg. Retailers charged Rs. 70 per kg. Sambar onions (Shallots) were Rs. 35 per kg in the wholesale market and Rs. 50 per kg at retail stores.

Seventh Pay Commission will submit its report by September end
The recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission are scheduled to come into effect from January 1, 2016. Chairman Justice A K Mathur of the Seventh Pay Commission set up by the government to revise pay scales of central government employees said that the commission will submit its report by September end.
