PUZHAL

Pozhal is a small township located in the city of Chennai. The place constitutes one of the industrial areas in the northern premises of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The township is connected to other parts of the city by the Great Northern Trunk Road that proceeds further towards Nellore, a district of Tamil Nadu state. The eastern boundary of Pozhal is restricted by the Pozhal Lake.

Pozhal is primarily an industrial area. There are no monuments or historical places in Pozhal. Whatever the suburb has to present constitutes of the industrial estates and residential places. The region is provided with a number of manufacturing units. Eveready Ware House, one of the credited battery manufacturers are rooted in this area. One other renowned name in the region is that of Southern Indi Corporation. Few other notorious enterprises dealing in milling and grinding tools and machinery parts, also have their bases in the suburbs. The Nagappa Industrial Estate that lies off the Great Northern Trunk Road is quite popular in the vicinity.
