Chennai and KTC belt is all set to see second day of rains as the conditions looks perfect today too. By evening again convergence of wind is expected to happen.

Chennai rains come back with a bang, showers to reduce now
The city of Chennai does not record very good monsoon rains during the Southwest monsoon period. Reason being that the city lies in the rain Shadow area and rainfall activity is on the higher side.

Heavy rains expected today in Kerala and Tamil Nadu ghats (TN Weatherman)
The radar picture shows clouds remaining there for days now. Its looking so grim. Today more heavy rains expected in Kerala and Tamil Nadu ghats.

Heavy and extreme rains today: Kerala, ghat areas of Tamil Nadu & Karnataka
Almost all stations have crossed 100 mm in most places in Kerala and ghats have recorded double of that and the clouds remain so stagnant from yesterday morning.

Lets start with Chennai, the rains are going to be on and off rains with breaks till tomorrow noon / evening. Till now chennai has got 50 mm and on the verge of beating the 60 mm recorded on 3rd July this year.

Low pressure area revives Monsoon again, depression likely
A fresh low-pressure area is has developed over Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Odisha and West Bengal coast. According to Skymet Weather, weather conditions are favorable for the system to get more marked.

Chennai rains to continue, weather to remain comfortable
Ever since the beginning of August, Chennai has been receiving isolated light rains. However, on one or two occasions, the city has also received some moderate spells. On the last day as well, some light rains.

Chennai to see rare monsoon rains with monsoon axis dipping down
The convergence of winds are happening close to Chennai. Normally South AP and North TN never gets this rains. Chennai will see good monsoon rains today and tomorrow.

Chennai rains expected later in Evening/Night (TN Weatherman)
Massive massive rains reported in Cauvery Catchment in Kodagu, Chikmagalur and Wayand. Semma rains have lashed ghat areas of Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Nilgiris and Valparai.

As expected Heavy Rains have lashed Cauvery Catchment in Kodagu & Chikmagalur in Karnataka, Wayand in Kerala, Idukki district, Valparai, Nilgiris and Kanyakumari, Today too the heavy rains will continue
