Kancheepuram: 9 killed in bus accident
Seven persons, including two women and a child, were today killed and 11 injured when a bus hit a stationary lorry at Rajakulam, 6 km from here, police said.

Bank strike affects customer services
Banking services in the city were severely affected as 10 lakh employees of nationalised banks went on a two-day strike from Wednesday. The bank strike had been called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU).
