There will be no power supply in the following areas between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on June 20 as the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation has planned to carry out maintenance works .

In May, exports down but imports up

Groundwater in Chennai down over the past year
Chennai Metro Water has said that the groundwater table has reduced by 0.6 metres in the past year.

Visas to the UK will be available in Chennai from Today onwards.
Those who are looking to visit the United Kingdom in a hurry will now get visas the same day it was applied for. The facility, which was introduced in Delhi and Mumbai in May, will be available in Chennai from Tuesday onwards.
