Ministry of Railways has decided to revise passenger fare and freight tariffs linking it with Fuel Adjustment Component (FAC). The revised passenger fare will be effective from the midnight of 6TH October and 7th October 2013

Government plans to give 2.5 crore mobile phones, 90 lakh tablets free
The Central Government of India proposes to spend Rs 7,860 crore distributing 2.5 crore mobile phones and 90 lakh tablets virtually free of cost to targeted beneficiaries over the next four years starting 2014-15.
